Alfredo Casares is the founder and director of the Instituto de Periodismo Constructivo, an organisation that works with journalists, media outlets and universities to develop training programmes and consultancy on solutions journalism. He is a Solutions Journalism LEDE Fellow 2021 and author of the book La hora del periodismo constructivo. He has worked for the Miami Herald as City Editor for El Nuevo Herald and as the director of new content at Diario de Navarra (Spain), where he founded the first Innovation Media Lab at a Spanish newspaper. He has led projects that have received more than 10 national and international awards. He has also received an Acumen Fellowship for social impact.
