Elena Ledda is a Sardinian independent journalist with a bachelor’s degree in foreign languages (Spanish and Mandarin Chinese) and is based in Barcelona, Spain. From 2017 to 2020 she was the deputy director of the National Geographic Storica magazine. She now combines freelancing with teaching engagement journalism and journalistic ethics with gender, class, and ethnicity perspectives. She also teaches constructive and solutions journalism for the BCN_NY master’s degree in journalism. The BCN_NY program is a collaboration between the Universitat de Barcelona and Columbia University.
